'Keep Long Island Beautiful' events include:

• Litter removal from roadsides, highways, shorelines and waterways
• Cleaning and restoring nature trails, recreations areas and public playgrounds
• Educating communities about waste reduction and recycling
• Planting trees, flowers and gardens
• Collecting post-event balloons for repurposing
